Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is hiring a Wind Technician in Oklahoma to perform field-based maintenance on wind turbines and support safety and environmental reporting. This permanent, non-travel position requires climbing towers up to 300 feet and adhering to OSHA guidelines. Relocation may be available.

The technician will participate in Lean Six Sigma projects, develop other technicians, and report to site management on turbine availability and performance.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to climb wind turbines up to 300 feet.
• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval required.

Responsibilities

• Performs regular preventative maintenance and repair on wind turbine equipment.
• Completes electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Maintains all company equipment, facilities and tooling.
• Manages own training schedules and meets training requirements.
