Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Wind Technician for the Golden Plains Energy Center in Britt, IA. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines, climb towers daily, and troubleshoot faults while upholding safety standards.

The role follows a 4-10 shift Monday through Thursday with potential overtime during peak maintenance. Base pay ranges hourly and bonuses may apply; full benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders, and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Valid driver's license and eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment.

• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment.

About The Site

Golden Plains is a 200MW wind power generation facility located in Britt, IA utilizing GE 2.5-127 and GE 2.3-116 WTG turbine technology.

Position Overview

As a Wind Technician you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Golden Plains Energy Center.

Work Schedule

Work a 4-10 work schedule Monday - Thursday. The work schedule may vary during peak maintenance periods.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Base Pay

• $29.49 - $49.97 USD Hourly
• Bonus: 0% - 10%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
