Job summary

Invenergy seeks a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the Gunsight Mountain Wind Energy Center in Big Spring, TX. You will perform routine maintenance on GE wind turbines and related equipment, climb towers daily, and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical faults to ensure reliable energy generation.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of technical experience. You must be able to work outdoors in all weather, lift up to 45 kg, and hold a valid driver’s

• One (1) year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

About the Site

The Gunsight Mountain Wind Energy Center is a 120 MW wind power generation facility located in Big Spring, TX utilizing GE 1.7-100 WTG’s turbine technology.

Position Overview

As a Wind Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Gunsight Mountain Wind Energy Center.

Base Pay

$29.49 - 49.97 USD Hourly

Bonus: 0% - 10%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
