Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Wind Site Technician II at Shady Oaks in Paw Paw, IL. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and system issue resolution on wind turbines, joining a team dedicated to delivering reliable renewable energy locally.

Training and PPE are provided, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement. The role requires a Wind Technician certificate or equivalent wind/ mechanical experience, English fluency, and willingness to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Wind Technician certificate or wind turbine experience or mechanical/electrical background.
• Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair wind turbines with the team to keep communities powered.
• Adhere to safety protocols and perform safety inspections.
• Collaborate with the team to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
• Document work and improve operational processes.
