Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Wind Site Technician in Dana, IL to ensure the smooth operation of wind turbines through maintenance, troubleshooting, and system issue resolution. You will join a team dedicated to delivering clean, reliable energy to local communities.

The role welcomes candidates with wind tech certification, or wind turbine experience, plus mechanical or electrical backgrounds. Training under GWO and PPE are provided; a $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• 6+ months with a Wind Technician certificate, or 1 year wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical or electrical fields.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair wind turbines with your team to keep communities powered.
• Adhere to safety protocols and perform safety inspections.
• Collaborate with your team to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
• Document your work and continuously improve operational processes.
• Accurately time code all work activities to support clear tracking of task duration, progress, and operational efficiency.
