Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Safety and/or Occupational Health preferred).
• 4+ years in the energy/utility sector, OR a minimum of 8 years of experience (preferably a minimum of 5 years of safety experience plus 3 years other applicable experience).
• Demonstrated experience in electric power generation, transmission, and distribution, or comparable industrial environments.
• Deep understanding of OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910.269, 1926), ANSI, NFPA, and NESC standards.
• Proven leadership in safety program development, training delivery, and investigations.
• Effective communicator who can engage diverse audiences—from frontline workers to executive leadership.
• Technical writing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other digital platforms.
• Industrial hygiene experience is a welcome plus.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard workforce across wind fleet.
• Strategically deploy safety resources and champion safety culture.
• Drive compliance initiatives, conduct field assessments, improve job packages and safety plans.
• Support tactical teams, deliver presentations, and leverage data analytics for safety processes.
• Build partnerships with regulatory agencies and operational teams.

• Conduct thorough root cause analyses (RCAs) to recommend improvements.
