Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a carpenter for construction and repair of wood and wallboard fixtures at the Longspur Wind Project in Glen Ullin, North Dakota. Work includes reading plans, setting up trailers, forming, rough carpentry, and site maintenance. Teamwork and safety are essential.

Responsibilities cover layout, material handling, erection of structures, and collaboration with journeymen and foremen. This on-site role requires physical endurance and adherence to codes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up trailers.
• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for material requirements and measure dimensions.
• Build decks, stairs, roofs, temporary structures, install shelves, set up tool trailers/conex’s, silt fences/straw bales, and site per erosion control plan.
• Hand-set forms and assemble gang forms.
• Assist journeyman and foreman with shooting grades and elevations.
• Unload, handle, stockpile, and erect prefabricated materials.
• Concrete and rough carpentry: hand set walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural concrete decks, drywall, finish carpentry (doors, frames, hardware), millwork, cabinetry.
• Work effectively and build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
