Job summary

Mortenson is currently seeking a carpenter for construction and repair of wood and wallboard fixtures in compliance with local building codes and general construction principles. The role is based near Glen Ullin, ND, within the Longspur Wind Project scope.

Responsibilities include setting up trailers, reading blueprints, forming structures, hand-setting walls, and assisting journeyman and foreman with elevations. Strong teamwork and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up trailers.
• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for material requirements and measure dimensions.
• Build decks, stairs, roofs, temporary structures, install shelves, set up tool trailers/conex’s, silt fences/straw bales, and site per erosion control plan.
• Hand-set forms and assemble gang forms.
• Assist journeyman and foreman with shooting grades and elevations.
• Unload, handle, stockpile, and erect prefabricated materials.
• Concrete and rough carpentry: hand set walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural concrete decks, drywall, finish carpentry, millwork, cabinetry.
• Work effectively and build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Set up trailers
• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for material requirements and measure dimensions
• Build decks, stairs, roofs, temporary structures, install shelves, set up tool trailers/conex’s, silt fences/straw bales, and site per erosion control plan
• Hand-set forms and assemble gang forms
• Assistjourneyman andforemanwith shooting grades and elevations
