Job summary

Mortenson is currently seeking a millwright to dismantle, erect, assemble, align, adjust, and maintain machinery per installation manuals and blueprints at the Wake Repower Wind Project in Floydada, TX. The role involves offloading components, preparing nacelles, and connecting components to form complete turbine assemblies.

The position requires reading safety regulations, working in a team, and adhering to procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to read/interpret safety regs, assembly/disassembly, and maintenance instructions; strong teamwork and customer service.
• Detail-oriented with active listening and effective communication; open to diverse input.
• Repetitive hand/arm/leg movements.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and offload major components.
• Install loose components for nacelle, hub, and tower preparation.
• Connect blades to hub.
• Set base and tower sections.
• Handle taglines.
• Assist with main erection crane assembly and teardown.
• Climb ladders (average 80m).
• Drill and/or tap holes on turbines, generators, compressors, and pumps.
• Torque/tension bolted connections.
• Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Mortenson is currently seeking a millwright that will be responsible for for dismantling, erecting, assembling, aligning, adjusting, and/or maintaining machinery and equipment according to installation manuals, work instructions, layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive and offload major components


• Install loose components for nacelle, hub, and tower preparation


• Connect blades to hub


• Set base and tower sections


• Handle taglines


• Assist with main erection crane assembly and teardown
