Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a laborer for the Longspur Wind Project in Glen Ullin, ND. You will prepare, handle, and supply materials for other crafts on site.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, erecting scaffolding, leveling ground, and assisting with mortar, grout, and concrete tasks while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and collaborating across diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to work with power and non-powered hand tools and equipment.
• Strong teamwork orientation with clear communication and listening.
• Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend mortar and grout; move materials between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• Place and finish concrete; vibrate as required.
• General cleanup and debris removal on site.
• Build positive relations across diverse teams and maintain safety.

Summary

Mortenson is currently seeking a laborer that will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging
• Level ground for scaffolding
• Tend mortar and grout
• Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets
• General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading or burning debris
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
• Vibrate concrete
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preferred
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
