Mortenson is seeking a skilled equipment operator for a Heritage Prairie Wind Project in Reddick, IL. The role involves operating multiple heavy machines, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting project objectives.

The position requires experience with heavy equipment, adherence to Mortenson safety policies, and strong teamwork. The base compensation range is $47.15–$63.50 per hour, reflecting knowledge, skill, and project complexity.

Qualifications

• Must have equipment certifications as required.
• At least 1 year related experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with proper endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment per project requirements and safety policies.
• Manages blades, dozers, loaders, scrapers, forklifts, cranes, Bobcat/skid-steer.
• Operates boom lifts/aerial lifts and rollers as needed.
• Performs routine maintenance like lubrication, fueling, cleaning.
• Monitors equipment operation for malfunctions and safety.
• Follows work plans and pre-task cards; maintains tidy work areas.

Project Name: Heritage Prairie Wind Project
Project Location: Reddick, IL
Primary Objectives Of Position
Operates equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.
The base compensation range for this role is $47.15 - $63.50 per hour. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skill and experience with consideration given to internal equity.

Responsibilities And Essential Functions

• Operates the following equipment based on the requirements of the project:
• Blade
• Dozer
• Loader
• Scraper
• Forklift/Telehandler
• Crane
• Bobcat/Skid-steer
• Boom Lifts/Aerial Lifts
• Roller
• Follows prescribed safety regulations
• Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
• Performs routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning
• Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction
• Follows work plans and pre-task cards
• Other duties and responsibilities
