Flender in Elgin, IL is seeking a qualified Quality Inspector to inspect mechanical components for wind and industrial gear units, including dis-assembled unit parts prepared for rebuild and service. The role includes in-process and final inspections, documentation, and support for QA projects ensuring safety and efficiency.

You'll work with equipment aimed at wind turbine and industry units, coordinating with engineers and production while maintaining rigorous quality standards and traceability.

Qualifications

• Experience working with cranes and focus on safe work practices.
• Proficiency with gear drives (Winergy and/or Multi-Brand).
• Ability to analyze customer specifications, drawings, tolerancing and data comprehension.
• Strong communication with internal and external customers.
• Proficient with SAP and TeamCenter is a plus; MS Office familiarity.

Responsabilités

• Inspect and document mechanical components for Wind and Industrial gear units.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of finished units.
• Assist in incoming goods inspections and QA-related issues.
• Create formal inspection reports and document ISO compliance.
• Support projects to improve plant performance, efficiency, and safety.
