Mortenson is seeking an Operator Journeyman to operate heavy equipment as directed and in compliance with Mortenson safety policies. The role entails operating a range of equipment and maintaining a safe, efficient job site in Wyoming.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of related experience, a valid driver's license with endorsements as required, and strong teamwork and communication skills. The position offers growth opportunities and requires strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Equipment certifications as required.
• Minimum one year of related experience.
• Current driver's license with appropriate classifications and endorsements.
• Strong teamwork, positive attitude, customer service, and detail orientation.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to operate equipment by manipulating levers, pedals and steering wheels; basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently with good listening and communication.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Lifting over 50 lbs require assistance from another team member or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as blade, dozer, loader, scraper, forklift/telehandler, crane, bobcat/skid-steer, boom lifts, and roller.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain clean worksite.
• Perform routine maintenance and observe equipment operation for malfunctions.
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards; provide leadership by displaying resourcefulness, work habits, and problem-solving skills.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
