Responsibilities

• Perform quality checks to support product and shipment accuracy.
• Adhere to safety requirements including lockout/tagout and PPE.

Materials Operator-Truck/Semi Driver Essential Functions

• Operate a semi-tractor to hook up and transport trailers between designated work zones.
• Inspect trailers, semi-tractors, and forklifts to ensure safe and compliant operation.
• Operate a forklift to load and stage materials.
• Transport skids, pallets, tubs, and various containers throughout the facility.
• Ensure all customer shipping requirements are accurately followed and executed.
• Perform required quality checks to support product and shipment accuracy.
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures and the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Materials Operator-Truck/Semi Driver Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of three years of recent related work experience; experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A license with Hazmat Endorsement.
• Ability to operate a powered industrial truck using gas and brake pedals.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness and ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
• Flexibility to work alternative schedules, weekends, and forced overtime as needed.
• Must meet all applicable U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements for commercial drivers.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (medical card) as required by FMCSA regulations. FMCSA states CDL drivers operating motor vehicles must maintain medical certification.
• Must successfully pass DOT-regulated drug and alcohol testing, included pre-employment, random, post-accident, and other testing as required by law and company policy.
• Must maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record and remain qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle under applicable DOT regulations.

Location-Specific Requirements

• This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
