Job description

Title: Maintenance Technician (Pipefitter)

Location: East Alton, IL

Salary: $41.56/hour

Schedule: The current schedule is a straight second shift (S/2) or straight third shift (S/3).

Essential Functions:

• Repair and replace pipes and hydraulic lines, make hydraulic hoses, and install new piping on various equipment.
• Rebuild cylinders and pumps.
• Use a variety of hand tools and powered tools.
• Adhere to all safety requirements including lockout/tagout and wearing required PPE.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet one of the following:
  • Minimum three years of recent related Pipefitter industrial/maintenance experience; OR
  • Minimum two years industrial pipefitter-related education at a Vo-Tech Program plus at least one year of recent related Pipefitter industrial/maintenance experience.
• Related experience in Maintenance Technician, Millwright, Welding, or Carpentry is preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, tractors, overhead cranes, and backhoes is preferred.
• Willingness to undergo training for other trades such as millwright and welding.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces.
• Flexibility to work other schedules, weekends, and overtime.

Location-Specific Requirements:

• Successful vetting as an Employee Possessor per U.S. Department of Justice and ATF regulations.
• Access to ITAR-controlled technical data, contingent upon obtaining necessary export licenses.
