Job summary

Brays Island Plantation is seeking a hands-on Hunt Department staff member to assist the Hunt Supervisor and Director of Wildlife Management. Responsibilities include guiding hunts for owners and guests, maintaining and repairing equipment, and supporting safety initiatives.

The role includes maintaining records, operating workshop tools, and contributing to the One Brays vision through proactive maintenance and service to vessels, vehicles, and hunting gear.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE light truck and diesel mechanic certification preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing gas and diesel vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; strong communication ability.
• 1–2 years hunting and farming experience preferred; several years of mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and conduct deer, quail, turkey, and duck hunts for owners and guests during designated seasons.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on Hunt Department equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain workshop, records of repairs, parts used and labor time.
• Assist with hunting safety programs and hunt-related events.
