Qualifications
BS degree in biology, genetics, marine science, or wildlife/fisheries preferred.
Previous laboratory experience a plus, but not required.
Available to work 30-40 hours weekly if not taking classes, 15-20 hours if taking classes during summer.
Strong attention to detail, with good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently or in groups.
Capacity to sit or stand at bench for extended periods, with occasional lifting of boxes up to 40 lb.
Responsibilities
Sample collection, tracking, and processing for DNA extractions.
Data calling and curation.
DNA extractions and sample archiving.
Dish washing and general lab maintenance.
