The Nevada Department of Wildlife seeks a Wildlife Educator AmeriCorps Member to join its Conservation Education team serving the Eastern Region (Elko, Nevada). This three-quarter term covers 1200 hours beginning 10/01/2026, with a monthly stipend of $2,066.66 and an education award of $5,176.50 upon successful completion of the term.

The position requires a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, travel, outdoor work, and occasional camping in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering wildlife education programs to diverse groups.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to travel, outdoors work, and camping as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver outdoor education events, clinics, and field trips.
• Assist with volunteer recruitment and training.
• Provide fieldwork support and travel as required.
