Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s NW Region is seeking a Land Use Coordinator to lead reviews, coordinate comments on large-scale land development proposals, and work with multiple stakeholders and jurisdictions.

The role focuses on developing CPW recommendations to avoid, minimize, and mitigate adverse wildlife impacts, collecting field data, and ensuring compliance with program and regulatory standards for wildlife conservation.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, coordinating, and commenting on large-scale, complex, and often controversial land development and planning proposals involving numerous stakeholders and multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with CPW areas to develop recommendations for USFS Forest Plan and BLM Resource Management Plan revisions and other environmental planning efforts.
• Collect and verify field data and other information necessary to comply with wildlife conservation program and regulatory standards.
