The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in the Division of Forestry is hiring multiple Forest Fire Response Leads to operate from Grand Rapids, MN. These split-season roles involve performing routine wildfire response and leading emergency firefighters to control and extinguish wildfires during scheduled seasons.

You'll coordinate equipment, participate in initial attack and prescribed burns, and support the area wildfire suppression team with field operations and safety oversight.

Responsibilities

• Preparation for wildfire suppression by organizing and maintaining equipment, maintaining an inventory of supplies and winterizing gear as needed.
• Responding for initial attack on wildfires and leading emergency firefighters as part of the area wildfire suppression team.
