Boulder County Community Planning and Permitting Department is seeking to hire a Wildfire Partners Program Specialist II. Boulder County is seeking candidates to hire a Program Specialist II. In this position we are looking for candidates that are passionate about wildfire mitigation, community engagement, climate adaptation and/or providing the best in customer services. Wildfire Partners, the county’s mitigation program, is a nationally recognized, public-private partnership to help residents prepare for wildfire. The program specialist is a primary point of contact for over 4,000 participating homeowners and plays a highly visible role throughout the county in our efforts to help create fire adapted communities. The Program Specialist II for Wildfire Partners is the journey level classification in the Program Specialist series. The Program Specialist II performs a variety of complex Wildfire Partners professional duties requiring independent judgment and thorough knowledge of the program. The primary duty of this position includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.
This is a full-time, benefited position that will work Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. This position will work a hybrid schedule working both remotely at 2045 13th St, Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt.

$63,828.00 - $77,886.00 Annually
New employees receive an 80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month (Must not have been employed at Boulder County during the 12 months prior to re-hire date to qualify). Boulder County offers bountiful benefits, including pension contributions.
