Karen Clark & Company seeks a Research Scientist (Wildfire Modeling) to join the Model Development Team in Boston. You will develop atmospheric-peril catastrophe wildfire models, collaborating with scientists and engineers and conducting validation tests.

The role requires a PhD in geophysical sciences, strong wildfire modeling experience, and proficiency in Python, with GIS expertise and willingness to travel internationally or within the US as needed.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in geophysical sciences or related field.
• Knowledge and experience modeling wildfire behavior and spread.
• Excellent oral and written communication including professional presentation.
• Programming experience in Python.
• Ability to travel within the US or internationally on short notice.
• Knowledge of probability and statistics is a plus.
• Experience with GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS) is a plus.

• Compile related literature and datasets required for model development.
