Job summary

Saint Louis Zoo is seeking a Manager of WildCare Park Maintenance to oversee the day-to-day operations of facilities and grounds at WildCare Park. The role reports to the Director, Maintenance and is exempt, full-time within the Facilities and Planning Division.

The position directs building maintenance, in-house construction, repairs and grounds work, with responsibility for preventive maintenance, CMMS management, and budget oversight.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a maintenance-related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a management position preferred.
• Possession or ability to obtain OSHA 10/30-Hour Training certification.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and odd hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and direct daily activities of the WildCare Park Maintenance Department.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance scheduling and routine servicing of all equipment.
• Manage the CMMS work order system for scheduling and record keeping; train staff.
• Supervise and schedule team members to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Maintain building systems, grounds, and utilities per safety and regulatory standards.
• Monitor maintenance budgets and vendor relations; procure services as needed.
• Collaborate with other Zoo departments and support safety/risk management goals.
