Job summary

The Bureau of Land Management seeks a Wild Horse and Burro Specialist (COR) to oversee the national gather program, contract management, and program budgeting. This role involves preparing scopes of work, conducting market research, and coordinating with field CORs to ensure contractual compliance and successful project execution.

The position is locality-flexible within the United States and eligible for telework, with a salary range of $106,437 to $138,370 per year, depending on duty location.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for the national wild horse and burro gather program.
• Provides oversight of program wide contacts, interagency agreements and cooperative/assistance agreements to WHB program management.
• Prepares scopes of work, market research, funding data and cost analyses on equipment, animal, contractual, and staffing needs.
• Guides field CORs to ensure contractors meet WHB program specifications and contractual requirements.
• Prepares national gather schedules for the WHB program and reviews NEPA analyses.
