Job summary

NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company seeks a Wi-Fi Test Engineer to support the Wi-Fi Hardware Development team in testing WiFi 7, WiFi 6e, and Wi-Fi 7 products including extenders.

You will perform hands-on lab testing of customer premise equipment and validate 802.11 protocol compliance. The role requires knowledge of Wi‑Fi standards, TCP/IP and 3–5 years of related testing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/EE.
• 3–5 years of wireless network testing experience.
• Knowledge of 802.11 protocols and lab testing methods.
• Experience with CPE hardware testing and lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on lab testing of customer premise equipment hardware and validate 802.11 protocol compliance.
• Evaluate new products, handle problem resolution, and implement network enhancements.
• Perform performance testing and OTA testing using industry tools.
• Analyze results and coordinate bug remediation with vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct hands‑on lab testing of customer premise equipment hardware and validate compliance with 802.11 protocols.
• Evaluate new products, handle problem resolution, and implement network enhancements.
• Perform performance testing, conducted testing, and over-the-air testing utilizing tools like Ixia, Spirent, Octobox, and Rohde & Schwarz.
• Analyze test results against requirements and engage with vendors for bug remediation.

SKILLS

• In‑depth knowledge of Wi‑Fi 7, Wi‑Fi 6e, and 802.11 protocols and features.
• Wireless networking knowledge including OSI model and TCP/IP.
• Wireless standards testing, performance evaluation, and network troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, 802.11 variants, switching, routing, and Ethernet technologies.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years of wireless network experience or related hardware testing experience.
• Cisco Certified Wireless Network Professional or equivalent vendor training.
