Wichita, KS - Looking for Non Emergency Medical Transportation Drivers

We are a small family owned business dedicated to providing reliable medical transportation. We value our drivers and clients alike, and we’re looking to strengthen our Wichita team with reliable, professional drivers.

Role Overview

As an independent contractor driver with UMT, you will schedule your own hours based on client assignments and provide safe, courteous transportation to patients within Kansas and beyond. Your primary operating hours are 6 AM–6 PM Monday through Saturday, but you may be required to travel up to 200 miles outside Wichita as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review schedules for the next day to understand assignments and plan your route accordingly.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining safe driving practices during each trip.
• Maintain a flexible, team‑oriented attitude and accommodate schedule changes as required.
• Complete accurate, orderly paperwork and submit it to administration weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 23 years of age.
• Capable of lifting at least 50 lbs and entering/exiting the vehicle multiple times a day.
• Experienced driving in large cities such as Wichita, Kansas City, and Tulsa.
• Pass a drug screening, motor vehicle record check, and background check.
• Hold a valid Kansas state driver’s license.

About the Position

As an independent contractor, you set your own availability and we assign trips accordingly. You will use your own vehicle as your office each day and have the freedom to choose your navigation and music preferences.
