Job summary

Fair Haven Community Health Care is seeking a WIC Site Nutritionist to oversee the daily operations of the WIC program at FHCHC, ensuring compliance with federal and CT regulations. This role collaborates with FHCHC departments, Yale New Haven Health WIC, and community partners to deliver nutrition and breastfeeding education.

The position requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in nutrition-related fields, strong communication skills, and proficiency with EPIC and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nutrition sciences or related field and one year of nutrition experience in a health setting; or
• Bachelor's degree with two years of nutrition experience in a health setting; with eligible supervised practice/CAADE requirements considered
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to present in public
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and EPIC
• Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee FHCHC WIC program daily operations as guided by CT DPH WIC regulations.
• Lead WIC team performance assessments, trainings, PTO scheduling, and HR policies.
• Coordinate monthly staff meetings and disseminate WIC information to the team.
• Represent FHCHC and WIC in meetings and CEU programs.
• Develop nutrition and breastfeeding promotion as part of the local agency plan provided by federal/state guidelines.
