Job summary

Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corporation (JFCAC) is hiring a Nutritionist to plan, implement and evaluate WIC nutrition and breastfeeding components. This in‑office role involves coordinating with WIC staff and healthcare partners, and guiding program activities in Jefferson and Franklin Counties.

You will split time between Hillsboro and Arnold offices, traveling as needed with your own transportation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or ACEND‑accredited program.
• WIC experience is preferred and beneficial.
• Ability to work with low‑income families and collaborate with healthcare partners.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nutrition and health assessments to determine WIC eligibility.
• Document participant information in the WIC MIS.
• Provide nutrition education and breastfeeding counseling.
• Prescribe WIC‑approved food packages and supplements.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and refer to resources.
• Maintain records and ensure WIC policy compliance.
• Assist staff education and participate in program development.
• WIC outreach as assigned.
