Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County is seeking a qualified public health nutritionist to certify WIC participants and design nutrition care plans. You will document in the Florida-Wise EMR and work with clinic staff to ensure high-quality services and timely follow-ups.

Responsibilities include breastfeeding promotion, conducting outreach events, and maintaining efficient clinic flow while delivering evidence-based nutrition education to women, infants, and children.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nutritional science, community nutrition, clinical nutrition, dietetics, or public health nutrition.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Responsabilités

• Certify clients for WIC participation and develop nutrition notes and care plans.
• Document in the WIC Florida-Wise EMR using SOAP notes.
• Coordinate with clinic staff to deliver WIC services and follow-up.
• Provide breastfeeding promotion, support, and counseling.
• Attend outreach events and ensure smooth clinic flow.
