Job summary

Meridian Health Services seeks a Clerical Support Staff-Intake Specialist for WIC offices in Randolph and Jay Counties, Indiana. The role runs full-time with a split schedule across counties, 9:00am-4:30pm (11:30am-7:00pm on select days).

Responsibilities include intake processing, eligibility screening, and client support to promote whole-person health. You will work to reflect the program positively in clinics and in the community, coordinating with partners and ensuring confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record meeting Meridian's policy; reliable transportation and auto insurance proof.

Responsibilities

• Display a positive reflection of the Indiana WIC program in clinic and during community outreach events.
• Develop working relationships with staff and partner agencies.
• Maintain a compassionate clinic environment supporting community needs.
• Promote breastfeeding as the normative infant feeding method.
• Schedule appointments using INWIC MIS.
• Assist applicants with intake documents and eligibility screening.
• Explain WIC program information and provide relevant materials.
• Aid with downloading and using the INWIC Mobile App.
• Ensure confidentiality of client information per federal regulations.
