Job summary

MARION COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT in Bushnell, FL is seeking a HEALTH SUPPORT SPECIALIST to perform clerical and health support duties in the WIC program. Responsibilities include taking weight and height measurements, entering data into FL-WiSE, and assisting nutrition staff with questionnaires.

You will calibrate equipment, maintain records, issue WIC benefits, and coordinate as lead on the WIC Farmers’ Market.

Qualifications

• Experience using Excel, Word, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience providing customer service in a clerical setting to a diverse customer base.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take weight and height measurements for WIC clients.
• Enter anthropometric data into FL-WiSE (WIC database).
• Calibrate all weighing and measuring equipment following policy.
• Enter hematological data into FL-WiSE and maintain logs.
• Assist nutrition staff with questionnaires and data entry.
• Lead on the WIC Farmers’ Market coordination and inventory.
• Prepare reports and maintain WIC records.
