Job summary

Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corporation in Missouri is hiring a Health Professional Assistant (HPA) to support Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) participants. You will welcome families, collect data, and help with certifications in a busy community clinic.

This full-time role offers a 36-hour week, four days with Fridays off, two sites (Hillsboro and Arnold), 16.97 USD hourly starting pay, benefits eligibility, holidays, vacation and sick time, and additional insurance options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• One year in a community health or nutrition program, or two years in clerical/customer service.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome participants and provide information about WIC services.
• Collect and document participant data for WIC certification.
• Enter data into the WIC MIS accurately.
• Schedule appointments and maintain participant communications.
• Issue electronic food benefits to eligible participants.
• Promote breastfeeding and connect families with support resources.
• Refer participants to health, nutrition, and community programs.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA requirements.
• Assist clinic operations and keep intake areas welcoming.
• Support outreach and education activities.
