Job summary

Katalyst CRO is seeking a Wi‑Fi Test Engineer to perform comprehensive testing of wireless networks and devices. You will work hands-on with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards, validate Wi‑Fi 6E/7 features, and troubleshoot Mesh networks in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities include capturing packets with Wireshark, scripting for automation, and presenting findings to engineering leadership. A strong networking background and RF knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical or related field.
• 3+ years in Wi-Fi, wireless networking or related engineering role.
• Hands-on with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards and Wi-Fi testing.
• Python, Bash or similar scripting experience preferred.
• Basic RF concepts and Embedded Linux troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional and performance testing of Wi-Fi devices and wireless networks.
• Test Wi-Fi technologies based on 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards.
• Validate Wi‑Fi 6E and Wi‑Fi 7 features and connectivity.
• Test and troubleshoot Wi‑Fi Mesh networks.
• Validate Wi‑Fi security modes and wireless connectivity.
• Perform Wi‑Fi performance testing: throughput, latency, connectivity.
• Capture and analyze wireless packets using Wireshark and tools.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues; identify root causes.
• Work with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and routing basics.
• Develop or use scripts to support testing and automation.
• Perform basic RF testing and Embedded Linux troubleshooting.
• Document test results, defects, and troubleshooting findings.
• Present results to engineering teams and executives.
