Job description

The position is described below.

The Wholesale Early Careers Development Associate

The Wholesale Early Careers Development Associate supports a specific portfolio of Wholesale early careers programs with a strong focus on business priorities, stakeholder needs, and disciplined execution. The role develops a practical understanding of the aligned Wholesale businesses, their clients, products, talent needs, and operating environment, then applies that context to program planning, analysis, communications, and delivery. This is a business-facing role for an analytical, highly accountable professional who can operate with a client mindset, manage multiple stakeholders, and turn broad objectives to clear actions. The Associate partners closely with business leaders, program managers, Recruiting, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to deliver work that is relevant, accurate, and responsive to business needs.

LOCATION:

Open to candidates within the Truist footprint. Truist in office requirement is 5 days per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Business Understanding & Client Mindset: Develop and maintain knowledge of the aligned Wholesale businesses, including products, clients, strategic priorities, workforce needs, technical expectations, and key business cycles. Use business context to shape program activities, communications, analysis, and recommendations rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. Approach business stakeholders as internal clients by understanding their objectives, anticipating needs, responding with urgency, and delivering practical solutions. Conduct research, benchmarking, and structured analysis to support decisions on program structure, timing, content, and talent pipelines.

Program & Business Execution: Support end‑to‑end execution of internship, analyst, and associate programs, including onboarding, training, rotations, performance milestones, conversion, and ongoing development. Own defined workstreams and deliverables, translating business objectives into requirements, workplans, milestones, dependencies, and measurable outcomes. Coordinate business‑relevant technical training, leader engagement, manager touchpoints, participant communications, and other program activities. Identify risks and execution gaps, resolve issues within scope, and elevate decisions with clear context and recommendations. Support future‑state program design, new pathways, operating model changes, curriculum updates, and manager readiness based on business needs.

Stakeholder Management & Communication: Build effective working relationships with business leaders, managers, program teams, Recruiting, Finance, Compliance, and other partners. Prepare concise, accurate communications, pre‑reads, executive updates, recommendations, and meeting recaps tailored to the audience and business decision required. Coordinate across stakeholders to clarify ownership, manage dependencies, and maintain momentum against commitments. Demonstrate sound judgment, responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow‑through in a visible, fast‑paced environment.

Analytics & Technology‑Enabled Solutions: Use Excel and other analytical tools to organize data, identify trends, evaluate outcomes, and support business decisions. Create clear PowerPoint materials that connect analysis to a business story, recommendation, and decision path. Use approved AI and Microsoft 365 capabilities to improve analysis, synthesis, workflow efficiency, and communication while validating accuracy and business context. Identify opportunities to simplify reporting, automate manual work, strengthen controls, and improve the stakeholder experience. Maintain accurate documentation, decision logs, risk trackers, and governance routines.

Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
  • Preferred At least two years of experience in Wholesale Banking or knowledge of Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Corporate and Commercial Banking, Wholesale Credit, Payments, or Wealth Management.
  • Preferred Experience supporting business leaders, client‑facing teams, workforce initiatives, or early career programs.
  • Preferred Experience with data visualization, dashboarding, process automation, survey tools, or business intelligence platforms.
  • Preferred Experience developing materials for senior leaders and influencing action through analysis and clear recommendations.

The annual base salary for this position is $82,000 - $120,000.
