Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end execution of internship, analyst, and associate programs, including onboarding, training, rotations, performance milestones, conversion, and ongoing development.
  • Own defined workstreams and deliverables, translating business objectives into requirements, workplans, milestones, dependencies, and measurable outcomes.
  • Coordinate business-relevant technical training, leader engagement, manager touchpoints, participant communications, and other program activities.
  • Identify risks and execution gaps, resolve issues within scope, and escalate decisions with clear context and recommendations.
  • Support future-state program design, new pathways, operating model changes, curriculum updates, and manager readiness based on business needs.

The Wholesale Early Careers Development Associate supports a specific portfolio of Wholesale early careers programs with a strong focus on business priorities, stakeholder needs, and disciplined execution. The role develops a practical understanding of the aligned Wholesale businesses, their clients, products, talent needs, and operating environment, then applies that context to program planning, analysis, communications, and delivery.

This is a business-facing role for an analytical, highly accountable professional who can operate with a client mindset, manage multiple stakeholders, and turn broad objectives into clear actions. The Associate partners closely with business leaders, program managers, Recruiting, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to deliver work that is relevant, accurate, and responsive to business needs.

LOCATION:

Open to candidates within the Truist footprint. Truist in office requirement is 5 days per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Business Understanding & Client Mindset
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the aligned Wholesale businesses, including products, clients, strategic priorities, workforce needs, technical expectations, and key business cycles.
  • Use business context to shape program activities, communications, analysis, and recommendations rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
  • Approach business stakeholders as internal clients by understanding their objectives, anticipating needs, responding with urgency, and delivering practical solutions.
  • Conduct research, benchmarking, and structured analysis to support decisions on program structure, timing, content, and talent pipelines.
Program & Business Execution

Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Build effective working relationships with business leaders, managers, program teams, Recruiting, Finance, Compliance, and other partners.
  • Prepare concise, accurate communications, pre-reads, executive updates, recommendations, and meeting recaps tailored to the audience and business decision required.
  • Coordinate across stakeholders to clarify ownership, manage dependencies, and maintain momentum against commitments.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through in a visible, fast-paced environment.
Analytics & Technology-Enabled Solutions
  • Use Excel and other analytical tools to organize data, identify trends, evaluate outcomes, and support business decisions.
  • Create clear PowerPoint materials that connect analysis to a business story, recommendation, and decision path.
  • Use approved AI and Microsoft 365 capabilities to improve analysis, synthesis, workflow efficiency, and communication while validating accuracy and business context.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify reporting, automate manual work, strengthen controls, and improve the stakeholder experience.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, decision logs, risk trackers, and governance routines.
Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred
  • At least two years of experience in Wholesale Banking or knowledge of Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Corporate and Commercial Banking, Wholesale Credit, Payments, or Wealth Management.
  • Experience supporting business leaders, client-facing teams, workforce initiatives, or early career programs.
  • Experience with data visualization, dashboarding, process automation, survey tools, or business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience developing materials for senior leaders and influencing action through analysis and clear recommendations.

The annual base salary for this position is $82,000 - $120,000.
