Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. operates and assists guests and management with the safe loading and unloading of boats on dry stacks and lifts. We provide excellent customer service through interaction with all guests.

Essential functions include operating travel lifts, maintaining loading areas, and inspecting equipment. The role requires walking/shoveling in outdoor conditions, following marina policies, and communicating problems to supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be dependable.
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions effectively.
  • Must have strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate travel lifts and safely move guests' boats.
  • Maintain lift loading/unloading areas, ramps and entrances in a safe manner.
  • Provide a welcoming environment for staff and guests.
  • Follow marina policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct daily inspections of lifts, tows and conveyors and document them.

Provides excellent customer service through interaction with all guests.Job Description:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSOperates travel lifts and safely moves around guests boatsMaintain lift loading / unloading areas, ramps and lift entrances in safe manner.Provide a welcoming environment for all staff and guests.Be knowledgeable about, follow and enforce all marina policies, procedures and protocols.Follow all established opening, on-shift and closing policies and procedures.Conduct and legibly document daily inspections of lifts, tows and conveyors.Effectively communicate problems to Supervisors and/or lift maintenance personnel.Instruct participants in the proper use of marina facilities, equipment and activity offerings.Performs other duties as assigned.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSMust be at least 18 years of age.Must have a strong work ethic and be dependable.Ability to understand verbal and written instructions effectively.Must have strong customer service and communication skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to work outdoors in variable, adverse weather conditions for extended periods.Ability to lift 50 pounds, shovel, rake and engage in repetitive pushing and pulling motions.Must have the ability to stand for the entire duration of shift.Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in a fast-paced environment.Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.Founded in 1917, Guest Services has worked tirelessly to earn the reputation as the premier hospitality management company and National Park Service concessionaire in the United States.
