Job summary

Valley Queen is seeking an entry-level Whey Production Operator at our Milbank, SD facility. You will learn to process, dry, and package whey products, supporting safe production, product quality, and teamwork on the production floor.

You’ll train across whey processing roles, perform routine cleaning, assist in equipment setup and sanitation, and help maintain accurate production records while adhering to food safety and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification preferred or must be able to obtain.
• Willingness to learn and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple whey processing roles through on-the-job training.
• Assist with equipment cleaning and sanitation (CIP) and routine maintenance.
• Monitor basic process conditions during start-up, shutdown, and cleaning cycles.
• Complete production and quality paperwork accurately.
• Move finished products to storage areas and follow all safety procedures.
