Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is hiring for a C Shift Production Technician. You will perform essential dairy processing tasks, including pH testing, cream separator adjustments, and wheyfat analysis, while maintaining sanitation and safety standards on a 12-hour night shift.

• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Follow Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures.

C Shift: 6p - 6a

Duties & Responsibilities

• Primary: Tests product pH to be sure it is in the correct range.
• Adjusts separators to the correct thickness of cream.
• Tests whey samples for fat content every two hours.
• Switches and rinses whey silo being used every 4 hours and switches raw whey every 2 hours.
• Monitors wash pH for effective cleaning.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly.
• Follows all Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures.
• Monitors the equipment and remains aware of work environment sounds to detect abnormalities in equipment operation.
• Demonstrates initiative and strong interpersonal, communication, and team skills.
• Demonstrates safe and quality conscious work habits and follows all company policies and procedures.
• Focuses on Saputo’s vision and goals and considers the best interest of Saputo and its employees, customers, and patrons while performing job duties.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with the Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines to ensure that quality food products are manufactured in a sanitary production environment and delivered with superior protection to our customers and consumers.
• Visually inspect product as it is received, processed, and packaged for any non-conformities.
• Demonstrates professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times.
• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.

Other

• Fills chemical jugs and removed chemical barrels when empty.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
