Job summary

Reining Forest Products in Beach Lake, PA is seeking a Log Yard Worker with experience operating a wheel loader to unload log trucks, sort logs, and feed log decks, while maintaining safety and efficiency. You will load bulk materials such as sawdust, bark, and wood chips for transport or processing, and perform general equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities include assisting the log buyer with measuring and documenting incoming logs, and safely using a chainsaw to trim logs.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a wheel loader or similar heavy equipment.
• Experience with chainsaw.
• Debarker operation preferred.

Job description

Reining Forest Products is a family run sawmill in Beach Lake, PA that has been operating since 1944. We specialize in Softwood industrial and wholesale lumber. We are seeking a Log Yard Worker with experience running a wheel loader.

Responsibilities

• Operate a wheel loader to unload log trucks, sort and stage logs, and feed log decks efficiently and safely
• Load bulk materials such as sawdust, bark, and wood chips for transport or processing
• Perform general maintenance on the loader and other assigned equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Assist the log buyer with measuring, scaling, and documenting incoming logs
• Safely operate a chainsaw to trim and prepare logs for sawing
• Support operations by operating a debarker (experience a plus)

Work Conditions

• Outdoor work in all weather conditions
• Must follow all safety guidelines for operating heavy equipment and chainsaws
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment
