Job summary

The Mennel Milling Company is seeking a dedicated individual to operate the Wheat Quality testing facility and to receive inbound trucks, grade grain per USDA standards, and record test results. The role supports food safety and quality initiatives and helps sustain the company’s long-standing tradition since 1886.

Shifts may include overtime; rural Midwest work environment with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Required license and strong data-handling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate hand tools to complete essential duties.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with internal and external customers.
• Must obtain an Ohio Agricultural Commodity Tester License.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMP, OSHA, HACCP, FSMA, and sanitation guidelines; keep audit-ready condition.
• Provide courteous, timely and professional customer service.
• Respond to customer requests and resolve complaints.
• Operate grain grading and testing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Weigh, sample and inspect grain per established standards.
• Work safely around grain trucks and related equipment.
• Maintain sanitation in grading room and assigned areas.
• Perform routine and emergency equipment maintenance.
• Assist Lead QA Tech with testing flour and millfeed.
• Fill in as Office Manager and Elevator Operator when needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.
