WGL Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Specialist in Operational Excellence to lead our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program and coordinate cross-functional improvement initiatives.

You will develop capability across the organization and partner with leaders to deliver measurable results. You will build a community of practice, coach participants, and create executive-ready reports that demonstrate program impact and governance improvements.

Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Black Belt considered an asset.
• 5+ years of experience leading operational excellence or process-improvement initiatives.
• Experience managing programs, governance processes and cross-functional projects.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management with influence at all levels.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and improve the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Program with coaching and support.
• Build and sustain a Continuous Improvement Community of Practice via events and mentoring.
• Coordinate Operational Excellence initiatives from intake to execution with alignment to priorities.
• Facilitate workshops and problem-solving sessions; support benefits realization.
• Develop executive-ready reporting, dashboards, and presentations on program impact.

Job Description WGL - Specialist, Operational Excellence

Are you passionate about driving meaningful change, developing capability, and helping teams work more effectivley? As Specialist, Operational Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in building our continuous improvement culture by leading the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program, coordinating Operational Excellence initiatives, and fostering a thriving community of improvement practitioners. Working closely with leaders across the organization, you'll help identify opportunities, deliver measurable business outcomes, and strengthen organizational capability through structured continuous improvement practices.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and continuously improve our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Program, providing coaching and support to participants, project sponsors, and leaders
• Build and sustain a Continuous Improvement Community of Practice through learning events, workshops, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
• Coordinate Operational Excellence initiatives from intake through execution, ensuring projects are aligned to business priorities and deliver measurable value
• Facilitate workshops, process improvement events, and problem-solving sessions while supporting benefits realization and sustainable outcomes
• Develop executive-ready reporting, dashboards, and presentations that showcase program performance, project outcomes, and organizational impact
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to strengthen governance, standardize practices, and advance Operational Excellence goals

What You’ll Bring

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Black Belt considered an asset
• 5+ years of experience leading operational excellence, continuous improvement, transformation, or process improvement initiatives
• Experience managing programs, portfolios, governance processes, and cross-functional projects
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leaders

The role offers a competitive salary range of $114,700 to $159,075 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, this position is eligible for our Short-Term Incentive compensation program.
