Title : Remote Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll be answering calls on behalf of a client that provides payroll services for people who are in self-directed Medicaid programs. In these programs, patients who have Medicaid can hire the caregiver they choose. This client helps facilitate the payments to caregivers, ensuring that they receive compensation for taking care of their loved ones.

This remote, flexible opportunity pays independent contractors $13 per hour.

Essential Functions

  1. Answering incoming calls from patients and caregivers with compassion and professionalism, responding to their questions and providing important information
  2. Making outbound calls to patients and caregivers
  3. Assisting with enrollment, program applications, and setup in applicable systems
  4. Retrieving information to assist caregivers with payroll-related inquiries
  5. Utilizing de-escalation techniques when supporting upset or frustrated callers
  6. Offering guidance and directions to caregivers and patients to resolve issues effectively
  7. Documenting information and outcomes as necessary

About You

To support this client, you should have at least one year of customer service experience. You will also need strong computer skills and troubleshooting abilities. In addition, you should possess:

  • Empathy, patience, and a friendly demeanor at all times
  • The ability to handle sensitive calls and de-escalate emotionally charged situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • A focus on quality and achieving first call resolution
  • Confidence working with numbers and discussing money

To be a Customer Service Representative, you will need:

  • A computer meeting these criteria :
  • Operating System : Windows 10 or 11 (Macs and Chromebooks are not supported)
  • Memory : 8GB of RAM
  • CPUs (Processors) : 6
  • Hard Drive : At least 500MB of free space
  • Sound : Sound card (standard on most computers)
  • Up-to-date antivirus software
  • High-speed, hardwired internet (no Wi-Fi or Satellite)
  • Dual monitors
  • A webcam for certification

Where NexRep Contracts

NexRep contracts with individuals in 31 states. The states we do not contract in are: AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, HI, IL, MA, MD, ME, MN, MO, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT, WA, and WI. We do not contract outside the US.

Flexible Hours of Operation

Enjoy flexible scheduling via a self-scheduling platform within the client’s hours of operation, which are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET. Contractors are expected to work 30-35 hours weekly, with some hours on Mondays and Fridays preferred. If you prefer fewer hours or not to work on those days, consider other opportunities within NexRep.
