Job summary

United Felts is seeking a Wetout Technician to stack liners on pallets per customer specifications and to assist Inspectors in maintaining high-quality liners for customers. The role involves reading construction and requirement sheets, helping with machine setups, and ensuring pallets are prepared accurately for each order.

Employees will participate in quality checks, report issues promptly, and support ongoing site housekeeping and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours daily.
• Able to lift and move at least 50 lbs.
• Must wear PPE (hard hat, safety vest, boots, eye protection) as required.

Responsibilities

• Read construction sheet and customer requirement sheet to meet specifications.
• Assist co-workers in machine setups.
• Assist with wrapping and stacking liners on pallets per requirements.
• Review liners for quality with Inspectors and report issues to Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean work environment and perform cleaning duties as required.

Job description

As a Wetout Technician I , you will be stacking liners on pallets corresponding to the agreed customer requirements. Assist Inspectors in reviewing liners to ensure we continue to produce and supply our customers with liners of the highest quality.

What you'll do

• Read construction sheet and customer requirement sheet fully in order to meet the customer requirements.
• Assisting co-workers in machine setups.
• Assisting co-workers in wrapping and strapping down completed liners.
• Stacking liners on pallets neatly and correctly according to customer requirements.
• Assist Inspectors in review the liner as it comes of the line for any quality issues.
• Report any quality problems to the Supervisor immediately.
• Check drive rollers for needles prior to running coated material and after running felt material and/or at the beginning of the shift.
• When stacking liners, keep repairs out of folds.
• Consult with your Supervisor to determine correct pallet size for liner.
• Continually review supplies and report to your Supervisor any shortages.
• Maintain a clean work environment by performing cleaning duties when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Typical Physical Demands:

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.
• Ability to lift and move at least 50 lbs. on a continuous basis
• Able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working as required by the job.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but could include weekends, evenings and/or holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
