Job summary

United Felts is seeking a Wetout Technician to stack liners on pallets per customer specifications and assist inspectors with quality checks. You will read construction sheets, support machine setups, and ensure products meet high standards.

Responsibilities include stacking, wrapping, and securing liners, reporting issues to supervision, and maintaining a clean, safe work area with proper PPE. Regular shifts with potential for overtime.

Qualifications

• Read construction sheets and customer requirement sheets to meet specs.
• Assist with machine setups and co-worker coordination.
• Wrap and strap finished liners for shipping.
• Stack liners on pallets neatly according to requirements.
• Assist inspectors in reviewing liners for quality issues.
• Report quality problems to supervisor immediately.
• Check drive rollers before/after runs and at shift start.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform cleaning duties as needed.

• Read and interpret the daily production plan to ensure liners meet customer specs.
• Support machine operators with setup adjustments and material handling.
• Verify pallets and stacking configurations meet required dimensions and stability.

Job description

As a Wetout Technician, you will be stacking liners on pallets corresponding to the agreed customer requirements. Assist Inspectors in reviewing liners to ensure we continue to produce and supply our customers with liners of the highest quality.

What you'll do

• Read construction sheet and customer requirement sheet fully in order to meet the customer requirements.
• Assisting co-workers in machine setups.
• Assisting co-workers in wrapping and strapping down completed liners.
• Stacking liners on pallets neatly and correctly according to customer requirements.
• Assist Inspectors in review the liner as it comes of the line for any quality issues.
• Report any quality problems to the Supervisor immediately.
• Check drive rollers for needles prior to running coated material and after running felt material and/or at the beginning of the shift.
• When stacking liners, keep repairs out of folds.
• Consult with your Supervisor to determine correct pallet size for liner.
• Continually review supplies and report to your Supervisor any shortages.
• Maintain a clean work environment by performing cleaning duties when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Typical Physical Demands:

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.
• Ability to lift and move at least 50 lbs. on a continuous basis
• Able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working as required by the job.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but could include weekends, evenings and/or holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
