Join Our Team as a Wetland Scientist at BL Companies

BL Companies is a 100% employee-owned firm, providing engineering, architecture, land surveying, and environmental consulting services. We are seeking a dedicated Wetland Scientist to join our Natural Resources team, with opportunities in the Northeast or Southeast regions.

Responsibilities

• Delineating wetlands and waterbodies
• Preparing and submitting Environmental Assessments for NEPA reviews
• Writing technical reports for regulatory review
• Managing environmental permitting and compliance work
• Conducting wetland mitigation monitoring, invasive species management, and species-specific surveys
• Performing T&E studies and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
• Participating in client and agency meetings
• Conducting agency coordination and PNDI searches

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field
• 3-7 years of wetland delineation experience
• WPIT, PWS certification, or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work in remote locations and extreme weather conditions
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Familiarity with GIS; intermediate to advanced skills preferred
