State of Utah is seeking a Restoration Coordinator to lead vegetation projects and support wetland management at Great Salt Lake. The role involves fieldwork, budget tracking, and coordination with multiple agencies to implement plans and monitor outcomes.

You will work in office and field environments, using ArcGIS and data-driven approaches. Strong writing, communication skills, and knowledge of wetland plant and bird species are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience identifying plants in a professional setting (At least 1 year, more is better).
• Technical writing skills (At least 1 year, more is better).
• Ability to communicate clearly, in writing and verbally.
• Knowledge of Great Salt Lake avian species.
• Knowledge of wetland invasive species management (Phragmites).
• GIS skills and map-based work.
• Ability to maintain equipment; safely haul heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of trailer backing and equipment maintenance.

Responsabilités

• Participate in collaborative efforts to improve vegetation in Great Salt Lake wetlands.
• Plan and track treatments using ArcGIS; manage budgets and contracts with spreadsheets.
• Monitor vegetation treatments and operate large wetland equipment.
• Collaborate with researchers to establish best management practices.
• Supervise staff or volunteers, including hiring assistance and training.
• Plan vegetation treatments and monitor project outcomes.
