Job summary

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Builder III is an experienced production team member responsible for producing a wide variety of precast concrete products in accordance with established safety, quality, and production standards. This position performs advanced building and forming duties, works independently from blueprints and drawings, and assists with troubleshooting and supporting other team members as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up and assemble steel forms for precast concrete products, including more complex or specialized builds.
• Read, interpret, and work independently from blueprints, CAD drawings, production drawings, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, bend, place, and tie rebar and steel mesh according to specifications.
• Prepare forms and properly position reinforcing steel, inserts, embeds, and other required components prior to concrete placement.
• Pour, finish, strip, rework, and patch concrete products while maintaining established quality standards.
• Identify basic production or quality issues and make appropriate corrections or notify leadership when additional support is needed.
• Safely operate forklifts and other heavy‑duty industrial equipment as trained and authorized.
• Properly use hand tools, power tools, saws, grinders, air tools, and other production equipment.
• Assist and provide guidance to less‑experienced Builders regarding proper building methods, drawings, quality expectations, and safe work practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and perform general housekeeping duties.
• Work effectively as part of a team and assist in other production areas as needed.
• Follow all company safety procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and established production processes.
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Strong understanding of precast concrete production and form‑building processes.
• Ability to independently read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, measurements, and production specifications.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure and perform basic production‑related math calculations.
• Proficient in the safe use of common hand tools, power tools, saws, grinders, and air tools.
• Ability to recognize quality concerns and assist with troubleshooting production issues.
• Ability to perform work with limited supervision while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to assist and guide less‑experienced employees.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other required industrial equipment after appropriate training and authorization.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Previous experience in precast concrete, construction, manufacturing, or a related production environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working with hand tools, power tools, saws, air tools, and grinders.
• Previous experience reading blueprints, CAD drawings, or production drawings required.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

• Close Supervision: The incumbent is assigned duties according to specified procedures and receives detailed instructions. Work is checked frequently
