Job description

We are currently looking for a Senior Underground Wet Utility Estimator/Project Manager for an immediate position at our office in El Cajon, CA.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

• HCSS Estimating Program experience preferred but not necessary
• Knowledge in heavy equipment sizes, shoring techniques, productions/crew sizing for various conditions, ability to understand soils reports.
• Strong internal and external communication skills. Represent the company well when dealing with clients.
• Project Manage the project such as job visits, client relations, change orders, RFIs, letters, meeting minutes, and associated Project Management tasks.
• Experience with large multi‑million dollar projects in the Private and Public sector.
• Knowledge of various local agency specifications.
• Dry Utility estimating experience a plus, but not mandatory.
• Structural Concrete estimating experience a plus, but not mandatory.
• Local knowledge for who to call when you need a vendor, supplier, or subcontractor. Existing relationships with private owners and agencies preferred.
• Ability to create & update schedules in Microsoft Project.
• Work well with others.
• Proficient computer skills in Blue Beam, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong work ethic and self-starter.
• Schedule is M‑F in office.

This is a salary position with competitive wages based on experience.

Proficient Wet Utility Estimator with 3‑7 years experience – $85,000–$140,000/year.

Highly skilled Senior Wet Utility Estimator with 8+ years experience – $140,000–$180,000/year.
