Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Wet Etch Process Engineer for our Boise, Idaho operations as part of a historic expansion in semiconductor manufacturing.

You will start up, develop, and optimize wet etch processes to improve product quality, yield, and cost efficiency, working with cross-functional teams to address production issues and drive continuous improvement. Qualifications

• MS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or BS with 2+ years in semiconductor industry experience as a Wet Etch process owner.
• Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn Agentic AI.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in data science and programming skills.

• Collaborate with equipment engineers and integration engineers to identify and resolve issues affecting production.

As a Wet Etch Process Engineer you will be primarily responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing processes to improve product quality, driving process yield improvements, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. Your expertise will give to the production of high-quality semiconductor components that are pivotal to our customers' success. You will work closely with multi-functional teams to tackle process issues and implement solutions that improve efficiency and yield. Your passion for engineering and willingness to learn will help us overcome the challenges of this fast-paced industry. We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values collaboration, and is eager to dive deep into the technical aspects of semiconductor manufacturing.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• MS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or BS with 2+ years in Semiconductor industry experience as a Wet Etch process owner (vapor etch, dry strip, dry bevel etch & Cu plating in addition to conventional bath and spin processes)
• Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn Agentic AI to help developed efficient workflow.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficient in Data Science and Programming skills
