Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, ID seeks a Wet Etch Process Engineer to lead start‑up, development, and optimization of DRAM wet etch processes. Qualifications

• MS in Chemical Engineering or BS with 2+ years in Semiconductor industry experience as a Wet Etch process owner (vapor etch, dry strip, dry bevel etch & Cu plating in addition to conventional bath and spin processes)
• Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn Agentic AI to help develop efficient workflow
• Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment

Responsibilities

• Start up, develop, and optimize Wet Etch processes for DRAM manufacturing.
• Drive yield improvements, cost reductions, and productivity improvements.
• Collaborate with equipment engineers and integration engineers to resolve production issues.
• Use project management skills to complete milestones addressing yield, defectivity, production, and cost gaps.
• Improve SPC charts and own process performance metrics.

Wet Etch Process Engineer you will be primarily responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing processes to improve product quality, driving process yield improvements, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. Your expertise will guide the production of high‑quality semiconductor components that are pivotal to our customers' success. You will work closely with multi‑functional teams to tackle process issues and implement solutions that improve efficiency and yield. Your passion for engineering and willingness to learn will help us overcome the challenges of this fast‑paced industry. We are looking for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, values collaboration, and is eager to dive deep into the technical aspects of semiconductor manufacturing.

• Use project management skills to complete project milestones that close yield, defectivity, production, and cost gaps
• Drive improvements across all SPC (statistical process control) charts that you own

Minimum Required Qualifications

• MS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or BS with 2+ years in Semiconductor industry experience as a Wet Etch process owner (vapor etch, dry strip, dry bevel etch & Cu plating in addition to conventional bath and spin processes)
• Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn Agentic AI to help develop efficient workflow

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a meticulous approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficient in Data Science and Programming skills
